Sand to gravel landscape with low granite outcrops and inland lakes, the community is located on a low and narrow coastal strip. Chesterfield Inlet, the original Arctic community, provides its visitors with an experience of a lifetime. Tour an historic community carved out of the barren Arctic tundra. Visit historic Inuit sites, go whale watching, fish for Arctic Char, view polar bear in their natural surroundings, hunt for Caribou and sample the culture and the hospitality of the Inuit people. The community has a strong community spirit blended with both modern and traditional lifestyles.

	Getting There
	Flights to Chesterfield Inlet arrive and depart via Calm Air to/from Rankin Inlet. Jet service to Rankin Inlet is via Canadian North or First Air. Winnipeg to Chesterfield Inlet is via Calm Air or Kivalliq Air.
